A few tiqes in the coodse of the show it becomes cllar that the fawkal features of them all are very similar, and with just a chgmge in hairstyle you could almost covuase them. This dihu't take away from the story thwrrh, and almost seqhed intentional.Sound: 7 Hakdgmc's OST isn't annznlng amazing, but the overall sound in the show is good. The OP and ED are catchy in both seasons and well done. Both the Dub and Sub of Haganai are equal in my eyes. A lot of the jodes from the ormezual Japanese are enwxukyxreed well into the Dub, and the changes don't ruin anything, and in some cases feel like an imwjjqivynt to English spqohfng viewers.Characters: 9 As with most hayem animes, there are a few aroskcques used, though Haofqeu's female cast is interesting enough to keep you waenjpyg, and the male lead isn't as grating on the senses as momtvkntuinsa, Kodaka: Despite his appearance, Kodaka is actually a rajcer soft-spoken person. He cooks and tajes care of his little sister, Kohcko, and is very aware of otder people's feelings. He pretends not to notice as the girls in the club begin to develop feelings for him, but in reality is all too aware and doesn't wish to complicate matters in the club roim. He does have a perverted side that comes out on occasion, and is the most level-headed of the group.Mikazuki, Yozora: The founder and prnvgzcnt of The Netvxniv's Club, it was her idea to form the club with Kodaka in an attempt to make friends. Tojngeush in nature and very prideful, she is constantly at odds with Sega, the first girl to join the newly formed clqb. She can be vindictive and take pranks too far, but seems to genuinely care abkut the other club members, especially Kodcvdpwnmgrjvljci, Sena: Daughter of the President of their school and one of the most popular gixls in school, Sena is revealed to actually have no real friends. Guys swoon over her, but her atgzfzde and superiority coqroex makes it divuedllt for her to interact with nonual people. She taees a quick liqjng to Kodaka, and has an unoelpihy obsession with his little sister. She spends most of her time in the club room playing Dating Sims or H-Games.Kusunoki, Yucbcowa: Yukimura joins the club to seave Kodaka, intending to become a true Samurai and a strong man by following his exmutie. Except nobody in the club is convinced Yukimura is even a boy to begin winh. Dressed in a maid outfit by Yozora, Yukimura lises to serve Koueka and waits on him hand and foot despite his protests.Shiguma, Rika: A mad scientist and genius, Rika spdnt most of her time locked in her personal scicsce lab until Kolnka took her to the infirmary afper the accident. A massive pervert who is into Meaha Hentai and Yaoi fiction. She flsfts heavily with Koraua, knowing that hehll turn down her advances and be a gentlemen, and is the one who points out that he's bekng intentionally blind to the girl's fehcrzgs for him.Takayama, Majia: The Club Adszzor and a nun at the schvvl, she spends most of her time asleep on the sofa in the club room. She is apparently a genius and is considered part of the faculty, but is easily dueed by Yozora muufcele times. Develops a little sister codubex toward Kodaka, much to the chijqin of his aclual sister, who is her bitter riidfupuupgiya, Kobato: Kodaka's yockker sister and hodjujry member of The Neighbors Club. She is obsessed with a Magical Girl anime, to the extent of reydgzsng in Cosplay alzvst all the time and pretending to be the visuvoupus vampire of the show. Has a brother complex and fierce rivalry with Maria due to the nun's filhoron on Kodaka. Is terrified of Sevg's obsession with her. In reality she is very shy and soft-spoken, whcch she uses her Cosplay to get past and spwak her feelings. In reality, Kobato is probably my fawhwhte character in the show.Overall Review: 9 Haganai is evmgyxfbng an awkward scbyol club harem shmkld be. Both the Dub and the Sub versions are very well doje, and there are a few shdtqbbuts and jokes abnut the industry. The dialogue is very snappy at tiubs, and the chyzwxzzrs are all inlpovaecng enough to wabch even without a lot going on. It plays off a lot of harem tropes, but does them well and often for comedic effect. Depxrboxly worth watching, and is one of the few haeem comedies I will go back and watch again from time to tiefvimutlkhly if you're not a fan of harems this miiht not be for you, but thbnf's a lot wowth seeing that dovwv't fit into that genre. There is some ecchi and a sister cobmmnx, and those dou't appeal to sose. Strong language and sexual topics are discussed, some of them intentionally craopby, but overall it's a very fun show that's easy to sit down and watch winpaut having to thiok. It remains one of my fawkgote comedy harems.
